Reliable Boiler Water-Level Management
Accurate water-level control is essential for safe and efficient steam boiler operation. VIRA level control systems monitor boiler water level and operate the feedwater pump or proportional control valve according to the selected control principle and application requirements.
On-Off and Proportional Control Options
VIRA solutions are available for on-off feedwater pump control and proportional feedwater control. On-off systems operate the pump between defined switching levels, while proportional systems regulate the feedwater control valve to support stable level control under changing steam demand.
Conductivity and Capacitive Measurement Principles
Depending on the application, level measurement can be based on conductivity or capacitive measurement principles. Conductivity probes are suitable for conductive liquids such as boiler water, while capacitive probes provide a project-specific alternative for continuous level measurement and proportional control applications.
Alarms, Indication and Integration
Selected VIRA systems provide configurable high and low water-level alarms, local LED, 7-segment or LCD indication, and continuous 4–20 mA level information where required. Product options include compact boiler-mounted units as well as panel-mounted and DIN-rail-mounted controllers, allowing the system to be selected according to the installation and control-panel requirements.
